The company with 35 employees is founded by its managing director and shareholder Joachim Görlitz and his father at the site Am Mellensee (formerly Sperenberg).

1997
The production site Gräfenhainichen is taken over
(111 employees).

2004
AMBAU continues to grow by taking over the production site in Bremen (185 employees).

2005
At the end of the year, the workforce of the company has reached 205 employees.

2007
A new production facility especially for offshore wind energy systems on the North Sea coast is in the planning stage.

2008
At the end of the year, AMBAU commences the production of wind energy towers in the new production facility in Cuxhaven. AMBAU’s workforce has now grown to 550 employees.
